New WhatsApp feature to bolster user privacy.

Whatsapp has been getting better and better with time and there is no doubt that it has come a long way.

Most of us don’t feel comfortable when we find ourselves in random WhatsApp groups that may not be of interest to us. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has a feature in the works that would help you regulate who can add you to a group.

The feature will be available in WhatsApp’s settings where you will be able to change it to the settings that suits you. Depending on your settings, you will receive an invite to the group due to the fact that the Group Admin can not add you. However, the requests will expire after 72 hours.

Users will be able to access this feature by navigating to their WhatsApp privacy settings as shown below;

They would then select who can add directly add them to groups.

However, this feature is still in it’s early testing stages and there is no guarantee that it will make it to the mainstream version of the app.
